Enzymes vs. Nsaids

Well it's that time of year again. This is the time of year that is supposed to be the happy time of year. But, it's also the time of year when all of our joints starts hurting! The problem is, how do we relieve the pain. Most people reach for the aspirin which contains nsaids. They have no idea what nsaids can actually do to hurt them.

What Can Nsaids Do?

Common side effects can include:

Stomach ulcers

Headaches and dizziness

Rashes

Throat swelling

Heartburn

High blood pressure

Stomach pain

Liver or kidney problems

People must be very careful whenever they take any medication.

Just What Does Nsaids Mean?

The technical name is, (nonsteroidal anti -inflammatory drugs). These are mostly sold over the counter under different names. Some of these names are:

Advil

Motrin

Aleve

Ascriptin

Ecotrin

Some of the generic names would be:

Ibuprofen

Aspirin

Naproxen

Nsaids block the production of certain chemicals in the body that cause inflammation. Most nsaids do work all about the same. They help to relieve pain and inflammation. But as you just saw above they do have their drawbacks.

The FDA has strengthened its warning on nsaids saying you may have an increase risk of heart attack and or stroke.

What About Enzymes?

Enzymes are macromolecular biological catalysts. Enzymes will help to accelerate chemical reactions. In fact enzymes are required for everything that happens in your body.

When we eat a piece of steak, we might think, oh wow, I just ate protein now I can be healthy. But, until my body changes that protein into amino acids my body cannot use it. It takes enzymes to change or break down the protein into the amino acids yours and my body needs to survive and thrive.

What you read above in the nsaid part is not what enzymes do to a person’s body.

This Is Where It Gets Fun!

Jeri and I have been taking a product called Joint Health for quite awhile now. A number of years ago I found the pain in my right hand to be so bad I ended up at the VA. Enzymes Are So Cool

Each enzyme is designed to do only one or two things and that’s it. Kind of like, robots in a factory. Each robot does one thing and does all it does is all it knows how to do. Enzymes are a lot like that and they just keep working and working. Unless, you don’t feed your body properly.
